Birthday Cakes for the children of Gaza

Ibrahim Abu Hany is a baker in Gaza who is making birthday cakes to bring a little joy to the children in his community. When his business was devastated by war, Ibrahim noticed that people still came to him for cakes despite the destruction of their homes and neighborhoods. Birthdays come only once a year, and children deserve to have a small piece of normalcy despite all that is happening around them, so he bakes with the supplies he can find and throws birthday parties for the children in his community. He hopes to raise enough funds by throwing these parties to evacuate his family. 

Here’s how we can help: by purchasing a “slice of cake,” you can contribute to one of Ibrahim’s birthday parties. These parties cost $500 each, so we’re pooling donations together – every 50 slices of cake will fund a party.

100% of your purchase (minus transaction fees) will be sent to Ibrahim. You can also donate directly through his GoFundMe page.
